Wild Thing by the Troggs is a fun and pretty easy song to be a first song. Let me guide you through the rhythm so you can play it with your friends. I would expect it wont take you long at all to learn this piece of music history.
The chords are played:
A/A – DD – E/E – A/A – Repeat
The chords are played with a gap between them, so the A/A is played twice but a little slower than the DD which is played about twice as fast. The same happens with the next two chords in that the E/E is played harder and slower, then there is a space before the AA is played.
When you listen to the song you will certainly be able to play with it I am sure.

I hope you had fun learning this fun song. Its a great one for beginners if your a rock music lover and also it has a long guitar history. I have played this countless times in my own bands. One of the pubs adopted it at their theme song so we played extended versions every time we went there.
